Terms & Refund Policy

These terms apply when you download or use Obsilide, or purchase Obsilide Premium. By doing so, you agree to them. If you have a question before buying, email support@obsilide.com.

1. The Product

Obsilide is a local-first Android handwriting notebook. Its free notebook features can be used without an account. Notes are stored on your device, in app storage or in a folder you choose, and Obsilide does not provide cloud backup or synchronization.

You are responsible for keeping an appropriate backup of notes that matter to you, especially before uninstalling the app, clearing its data, changing devices, or changing storage folders.

2. Obsilide Premium

Obsilide Premium is an optional $15 one-time purchase. It unlocks eight notebook cover styles and supports the development of Obsilide. It is not a subscription and does not include hosted AI, sync, publishing, or hosted storage.

The checkout shows the final amount and any applicable tax before you pay. Creem acts as the merchant of record: it processes the payment, collects applicable taxes, issues the receipt, and emails the license key. A purchase is also subject to Creem's Buyer Terms.

3. License and Activation

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Premium. Do not resell, publish, or share the license key. Each installation must be activated by pasting the key under Settings → Premium → Activate license.

Keep the receipt email and license key. Obsilide stores the successful activation on the device, not the key itself, so you may need the key again after reinstalling the app or clearing its data.

4. Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Email support@obsilide.com from the address used at checkout and include the order number or receipt. Refund requests are answered within three business days.

Approved refunds are processed through Creem to the original payment method. The time needed for funds to appear depends on the payment provider. After a refund, the Premium license is no longer authorized for use. Nothing in this policy limits refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded where you live.

5. Updates and Availability

Obsilide may receive fixes, improvements, or additional features. A Premium purchase covers only the features described as included at the time of purchase; roadmap ideas are not part of the purchase. The free and Premium feature sets may evolve, but a paid feature already unlocked on a supported installation will not intentionally be removed without a replacement or remedy required by applicable law.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use Obsilide for lawful personal or professional note-taking. You may not use the app or license system to violate the law, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, distribute license keys, or misrepresent Obsilide as your own product.

7. Warranty and Liability

Obsilide is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Obsilide is not a cloud backup service, and the developer is not responsible for note loss caused by device failure, uninstallation, cleared app data, revoked folder access, or a missing backup.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains the local note storage and the one-time network request used to activate Premium.

9. Changes to These Terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Changes do not retroactively reduce refund or consumer rights attached to an earlier purchase.
